| At the August 15, 2010 meeting, we will begin promptly at 2:30 pm with a presentation about, and discussion of, the various ways to insure your Apple product. AppleCare is a good warranty program, but it has its limitations (e.g., it will not cover accidental damage, nor theft). Recently, one of our members experienced accidental damage to his MacBook Pro when an airport TSA agent knocked it off the counter at the security check point! We will talk about some lessons he learned, and alternatives/supplements to AppleCare. At about 3:30 pm or so, we will break for refreshments before continuing the meeting with a period of sharing information, such as Mac tips and tricks and favorite iPhone apps, along with addressing any technology-related questions from those in attendance. |
